The International Young Artist’s Presentation (IYAP) is a yearly coaching trajectory for young talented ensembles who perform on historical instruments or work from historical sources. During a whole week, the artists work on an innovative and original stage presentation, coached by soprano Raquel Andueza (ES) and choirmaster Robert Hollingworth (UK). At the end of the coaching week, they perform during the Laus Polyphoniae festival for Old Music at AMUZ (Flanders Festival Antwerp).
This year the performances will take place on Saturday 20 August.
Via the ‘Info & tickets’ links below you will find more information and tickets for the concerts.

BREZZA was founded at the Schola Cantorum in Basel and focuses on 17th and 18th century chamber music. Their preludes will take you on an exciting musical trip, with room for improvisation.
In Cantar per scherzo presenteert het vocale kwartet PassiSparsi de humoristische, ironische en zelfs satirische kant van de renaissancekunst, aan de hand van liederen van Orlandus Lassus.
Giesta selects music from 12th-century monody to 16th-century three-part compositions. This results in a musical journey along the pilgrimage route, with room for both religious music and secular traditional songs.
Parnassus Quartet is a string ensemble specialized in the historically accurate performance of music. Their performance of Schumann’s string quartet sheds new light on what we usually hear, with a fresh musical discourse.
The performance at Laus Polyphoniae is a chance for these ensembles to present themselves to a broad international audience, as well as an extended professional network within old music. After their concerts, they get professional career advice from a number of Belgian and international concert organizers. The selected ensembles also receive the honorary title “IYAP Selected Promising Ensemble 2022”.
An initiative of Musica Impulse Centre and AMUZ (Flanders Festival Antwerp)
The International Young Artist’s Presentation creates opportunities for young vocal and instrumental artists and ensembles in the international scene of historical music practice. The selected vocalists and musicians receive intensive coaching by esteemed international artists. In addition, they get a chance to perform at the early music festival Laus Polyphoniae.
