The demand for sensitive, artistic input for young children is high. Day-care centres, after-school centres and all kinds of other initiatives, but also young parents, are eagerly looking for a qualitative artistic approach for young children. More and more performing artists are discovering the special musical sensitivity of babies, toddlers and preschoolers and are developing a service for them.
Sound Cradle responds to this individual need and growing social demand. This postgraduate course prepares you for rich musical interaction with children from 0 to 5 years old in various contexts.
Sound Cradle provides a coherent story. The programme translates current multidisciplinary insights into an artistic approach to early musical development.
Sound Cradle broadens your view on musicality and immerses you in the fascinating world of sound interaction with the very youngest. Music-making in its purest form!
1st year: 5 course units spread over 8 modules in 2 or 3 days on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from mid-September until May
2nd year: 5 course units spread over 5 modules in 1, 2 or 3 days on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, internship and final project
You have a special interest in and affinity for young children (0-5 years).
You want to immerse yourself in this target group from both an artistic and theoretical point of view.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in music or the arts.
You have a certificate of pedagogical ability.
You must pass an artistic entrance test.
