Antwerp Symphony Orchestra plays the work of young Soundmine-composers

13 young composers from all over the world received the opportunity to rehearse and perform their own work with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Wim Henderickx at deSingel, International Arts Campus.

During the international composition apprenticeship SoundMine, Wim Henderickx and Diederik Glorieux gave young composers intensive coaching at the highest level. Using their passion for composing and creating, young composers shifted the boundaries of their own musical imagination for five days. Composer and sound artist Jorrit Tamminga immersed them in the world of electronic music. Thanks to the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, these youngsters now have the opportunity to rehearse their work and to see their work brought to life on stage with a large symphonic orchestra.

The following composers were selected: Floris Heijdra, Siebrand Verhulst, Koen Oosterhuis, Siebe Thijs, Max Gibson, Eda Er, Alfred Jimenez, Tom Collier, Sheila Sanfeliz, Adam Clarke, Vegar Guleng, Houman Khalaj and Getman Daniil.
