Summerschool 2020

Rhythms of Life: the 's-Hertogenbosch Choirbooks

Mon 24 Aug 2020 - 12:00 to Sun 30 Aug 2020 - 20:00

Again this year a Summerschool will take place during Laus Polyphoniae led by singers from the the vocal ensemble Cappella Pratensis. In keeping with the 2020 Laus Polyphoniae festival theme of ‘Polyphony of life’, this year’s Summerschool will focus on the rhythm of musical life of late-medieval confraternities, with a special focus on the Illustre Lieve Vrouwe Broederschap in the Brabant city of ’s-Hertogenbosch. As ever, singers will perform exclusively from facsimiles of original sources.
