Discover the young talents who will be working with <strong>Diederik Glorieux<\/strong> and guest tutors <strong>Jorrit Tamminga<\/strong> (electronics), <strong>Hannes Vanlancker<\/strong> (engraving) and <strong>Annelies Van Parys<\/strong> (composition) during the week of 6\u201310 July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together with the four expert coaches, they will work on developing their own concept and creation. Subsequently, in May 2027, all participants will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with the <strong>Antwerp Symphony Orchestra<\/strong> for a <strong>special showcase of the compositions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The participants at a glance:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fleur Bonnevits<br><\/strong><br>Fleur Bonnevits is a Dutch singer-songwriter, composer and producer, working under the name Novits. She creates narrative, cinematic music at the intersection of pop, film and theatre, combining songwriting, orchestration and production.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Yijun Chen<br><\/strong><br>Composer Yijun Chen lives in Brussels, where she is currently studying at the Royal Conservatoire. With a background in jazz composition and film music, her work focuses on texture, atmosphere and narrative musical forms.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aumi Derycke<br><\/strong><br>Aumi Derycke is studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, where she is completing her bachelor\u2019s degree in composition under Annelies Van Parys. Alongside composition, she has developed a keen interest in electronic music, which is reflected in her studies in music and technology.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Helena Zyskowska<br><\/strong><br>Helena Zyskowska is a Manchester-based composer, originally from Warsaw, Poland. Her work revolves around delicate, intricate soundscapes in which she explores vulnerability and instability. She is particularly drawn to the physical nature of sound.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kobe Janssens<br><\/strong><br>Kobe Janssens is studying composition and music writing at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels. As a composer, he has a keen fascination with timbre and rhythm. He focuses primarily on writing works for large ensembles.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ersan Januzi<br><\/strong><br>Ersan Januzi is a Kosovo-based composer and PhD candidate in composition at the Faculty of Music of the Sts. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. He completed his bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees in composition at the University of Pristina.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Siyeol<\/strong> <strong>Ju<\/strong><br><br>Siyeol Ju is a composer who lives and works in Korea and Germany. He studied composition at Seoul National University and is currently pursuing a Master\u2019s degree in Electronic Composition at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Freiburg. His work encompasses electronic music, installations, media art and contemporary dance, focusing on the relationship between sound, space and performance.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edoardo Brandi<br><\/strong><br>Edoardo Brandi is a composer and violinist from Italy. In 2022, he began studying Composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp under Wim Henderickx, Bram Van Camp and Steven Prengels. He is currently focusing on writing solo and chamber music works in various genres, primarily for traditional ensembles.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Massimiliano Vizzini<\/strong><br><br>Massimiliano Vizzini is an Italian composer and multimedia artist living in the Netherlands. His work encompasses opera, mixed media and electronic music. In recent years, he has developed various intermedia projects in which he explores the concept of digital counterpoint, with performers extending onto the screen or becoming physically intertwined with the film environment.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Yiding Wang <\/strong><br><br>Yiding Wang is a Chinese composer based in Brussels. Her work explores the relationship between sound and the body, focusing on physicality in contemporary music. She is currently pursuing her Master\u2019s degree in Composition at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The selection for the SoundMine 2026 composition residency is complete.
