IYAP is an annual coaching programme by Musica Impulse Centre and AMUZ, organised during the Laus Polyphoniae festival. Here, young vocal and instrumental ensembles with a repertoire of early music get the chance to prove themselves in front of an international audience as well as the industry.

Over three days, a selection of promising ensembles will be guided and coached by Peter Van Heyghen and Raquel Andueza. They mainly focus on presentation: the story the ensembles want to tell, the structure of their programme and the interaction with the audience.

A professional jury selected six ensembles from 24 submissions to take part in the International Young Artist Presentation 2023:

  • Vestigium Ensemble (BE)
  • Contre le Temps (CH)
  • Liane Sadler & Elias Conrad (CH)
  • Duo Yamane (BE)
  • Rubens Rosa (CH)
  • Apollo’s Cabinet (GB)

On the last day, the ensembles present themselves in AMUZ to the festival audience of Laus Polyphoniae as well as to a committee of international representatives of early music (concert organisers, programmers, curators, etc.). They support the ensembles with feedback and practical advice.

With an IYAP day ticket, you won’t miss anything from this young guard and their musical ability.

International Young Artist’s Presentation

The International Young Artist’s Presentation (IYAP) gives young artists and ensembles a push into international historical music practice. We supervise the selected vocalists and musicians intensively and have them coached by top international artists. Moreover, they are given a stage during the early music festival Laus Polyphoniae.
