The adventurous music festival for young audiences, which started out under the name “OORSMEER”, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this autumn! Over the years, BIG BANG has grown into an international success thanks to its unique mix of daring musical theatre, intimate Music rooms, interactive installations and a fantastic fanfare.
On 16 November, BIG BANG Festival will once again transform Muziekcentrum De Bijloke into a vibrant playground of sound, creation and experimentation. It is a festival for young and old, for adventurers who want to be surprised by the dizzying diversity of the music world in all its colours and forms.

BIG BANG Festival is a celebration of adventurous music and sound art for a young audience. More than 60,000 children and their families all over Europe (and since 2019 in Canada too!) find their way to the festival each year. BIG BANG is also – and above all – a festival where audience members can discover and do things for themselves.
