A drop falls.
A sound follows.
What does the echo of a tear sound like?
The installation (t)ears captures different feelings and sounds in large glass drops. Crying is not only a reaction to sadness or pain. People cry from immense happiness, relief or simply because something gets in their eye, such as when cutting an onion. Now it’s up to you to listen. Tears of joy, tears of sorrow, heartbreak or beauty… come closer and hear the tear echo in its many forms.
(t)ears combines live sound with pre-recorded audio to create a series of soundscapes that change depending on your position. This allows you to experience a unique composition through the acoustic chambers made of blown glass.
