Who is Kate Bush? Difficult question: a pop icon, a maverick, a musical sorceress.
With her intriguing voice, elusive style and dreamy music videos, Kate Bush has been an enigma to generations of listeners for decades. In Cloudbusting, singer and performer Aline Goffin takes youngsters on a journey through Bush’s inimitable universe. Not with a classical concert, but with a particularly intimate moment in which music, movement and images come together. Video artist Nele Fack already shone with her animations in THELONIOUS by Zonzo Compagnie, among others.
In Cloudbusting, she lets her visual imagination speak again with magical holograms.You will hear well-known songs like Running Up That Hill – which became totally hot again thanks to the Netflix series Stranger Things – but also surprising gems you don’t know (yet). Aline’s voice has often been compared to Kate Bush’s, but with Cloudbusting she makes it all her own. Armed only with a voice, a mini guitar and a few sticks, Aline proves that Kate Bush’s songwriting skills hold up even in this minimal setting.
It will be an intimate encounter between singer and muse, between then and now.
