Where breath becomes sound and sound becomes a creature

Beneath a tangle of pipes, pumps and hoses sleeps a creature of air and sound. Whooosh is a discarded organ, stripped of its church and framework, but full of longing to sound again.

A large central bellows beats in its chest: slow, rhythmic, like a breathing heart. Children set it in motion with hand pumps and the play table. This gives Whooosh air, life and a voice. Sounds bubble up from its lead and wooden pipes: a sigh, a cry, a roar of wind.

Whooosh is a friendly sound monster, capricious and gentle at the same time.
A cross between machine and myth, between composition and chaos.
No notes, no rules. Just the adventure of sound.
