During this event, we highlight a masterpiece from our musical heritage. Musica organises a wide range of parallel activities: lectures, lecture performances, workshops, installations and concerts. This way, we place the work in its historical context and explore its relevance and meaning for today’s audience.

Unfold: Swarm
As part of the Masterpiece around the composer Zemlinsky at Concertgebouw Brugge, Musica developed the participatory project ‘Zwemmering’. From a number of colorful workshops, a lively sound installation with an underwater theme emerged.
Unfold: EXTREMIX
Five electronic-music producers Tress, Hoffman, Duke Jamal, Lowie Clapéron and Bricolaag teamed up with their coaches Tijn Borghuis and Dijf Sanders to work on John Dowland’s masterpiece Lachrimae or Seaven Teares.
