Vacancy: Freelance educators for dynamic music projects

Are you an inspired arts educator who loves to get young hearts beating for music? Do you have experience teaching music workshops and are you looking for a flexible, inspiring challenge? Or are you an artist and feel the urge to convey your artistic practice to young audiences through education and interaction? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

About us

In the eyes of Musica Impulse Centre, everyone is musical. One of our goals is to let children and young people express music in a playful and creative way. Our approach is participatory to the max and we put it into practice in formats such as Music Holidays, Musicaklassen, MusiMatrix and Babelut Workshops. Due to the growing demand for our projects, we are looking for new educators to join our team.

What are we looking for?

  • Freelance educators with a strong artistic profile and a passion for music and education.
  • Creativity in developing and delivering music workshops.
  • A natural connection with children, with expansion to babies and toddlers.
  • A fine and empathetic nose for (musical) interactivity with participants.
  • A flexible attitude and the ability to work independently within a team of enthusiastic professionals.

Art Educator in Residence

WANTED: writers, actors, musicians for a musical theater performance at Kiel

“The Kiel comes to a story”, a musical theater performance at the Kiel.

Do you have a passion for writing, acting or making music ? Would you like to make a performance together? Then this call is for you! We are looking for diverse talents to create a compelling musical theater performance together.

Age, experience, gender, native language – it doesn’t matter! Do you not speak Dutch very well yet? No problem. We believe that diversity can enrich a creative process. We invite everyone to be part of this creative adventure.

What you can expect:

  • Collaboration with inspiring artists and supervisors.
  • Workshops to develop your artistic skills.
  • A space where everyone’s story is heard.
  • The opportunity to perform twice in front of an audience.

When

From 25 January to 28 March 2024 , always on Thursdays from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Performance in Co Nova on Friday evening 29 March. Performance in DE SINGEL on Saturday evening 18 May.

In Co Nova on the Kiel in Antwerp (rehearsing and playing) and DE SINGEL (playing).

For whom

Anyone who wants to make theater and/or music. Artistic experience or knowledge of Dutch not required.
